Allen Kitchen & Bath's Makeover Minute

From Tight Quarters to Spa-Like Comfort

This master bath remodel transformed an ordinary tub area into a stunning shower retreat with room to truly unwind.

A great remodel isn't always about adding more square footage. Sometimes it's about making better use of the space you already have. In this Adams Street master bath, a standard bathtub was replaced with a spacious walk-in shower, creating a more comfortable and relaxing experience without changing the room's footprint.

A Bigger Shower, A Better Experience

The biggest change in this remodel came from rethinking how the bathing space was used.

The original 60-inch bathtub was removed and replaced with a custom 5-foot by 5- foot walk-in shower, dramatically increasing usable space. What was once a standard bathing area is now an open, comfortable shower designed to make everyday routines feel a little more luxurious.

The expanded layout allows for easy movement, while the addition of a built-in bench and a recessed storage caddy provides convenience without compromising on style.

Designed for Relaxation

This shower was built with comfort in mind.

Homeowners can customize every shower experience using a combination of a rain head, fixed shower head, handheld sprayer, and body sprays. A Kohler high-flow valve and transfer system allow multiple fixture combinations, creating a spa-like experience tailored to the moment.

Whether it's a quick morning shower or a relaxing evening rinse, the space was designed to make everyday routines feel special.

A New Way to Start and End the Day

Sometimes the most impactful remodels come from one bold change.

By replacing a standard tub with a spacious walk-in shower, this Adams Street master bath became more functional, more comfortable, and more enjoyable to use every day. The result is a space designed not just for getting ready, but for slowing down, relaxing, and enjoying the moment.
